Parent-Infant Online Class

Montessori Infant-Care programs are extremely rare, especially in the Philippines. This is the primary reason why we would like to help begin to spread it.

We are proud and excited to bring to you our esteemed Montessori trainer for the Infant and Toddler course, Skye Nichole Dodson, to lead this Parent-Infant class.

This Parent-Infant class is designed to educate the parent of children ages birth to 15 months on how respectful caregiving routines and the Montessori strategies help to support infant development.

These routines aid in the development of attachment, language, movement, and cognition. 

Through lectures and discussions, parents learn how they can best respond to their babies’ needs.  Instead of coming to a parent-infant class lasting about 90 to 120 minutes in one location, this parent-infant class will be held virtually via Live Zoom meetings once a week for 10 weeks every Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  We will cover a weekly topic including:

1.  parent questions and concerns 

2.  infant development

3.  philosophy of respectful caregiving

4.  respectful diapering as part of the toilet learning process

5.  feeding

6.  sleep

7.  natural gross motor development

8.  infant play

9.  preparing the home environment

About the speaker: 

Skye Nichole Dodson

Infant-Toddler Course Instructor, Positive Discipline Coach, Montessori Consultant, Doula Guide

Skye Nichole Dodson holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Guilford College, and an M.Ed in Education from Ashford University. She is also trained in mediation/conflict resolution and positive discipline. Skye is Montessori credentialed in Birth to 3 and has completed the RIE Foundations training. She has worked with infants and toddlers for 15 years and is the mother of 3 daughters. Skye trains birth to 3 Montessori adult learners in the U.S., Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, and China, and owns a consulting business serving families and schools. She is passionate about Montessori education and enjoys working with both teachers and families.
